“Holy hell Honda wants how much? ”
My dad asked how car shopping is going. I told him I’m no richer than I was the last time he asked.

I still can’t get my head wrapped around the passport. its just a smaller pilot for nearly the same money.

I think the pricing is a little off, but I see a lot of appeal in the 2nd row seats only thing. Lots of folks have no possible use for a 3rd row, other than folding them down so they’re out of the way. Were in the market for mid-sized SUV, I would much rather prefer something actually set up for 2 rows than buying something with a 3rd row I will never, ever use.

I can’t explain it but I really like the Passport. Its look just appeals to me and I can literally imagine myself living the #outdoors #lifestyle with it . I know it’s not very off-road capable, gets pretty shit mileage, has a blah engine, yada yada... I’ll never own one. But I still like it.

yeah, but if you can get a xl sized car or a Large car for nearly the same money and they are nearly the same...wouldn’t the extra space be nothing but an advantage

Only if you need that extra space , but yes, I do agree the pricing is too close between the two of them. The problem with both is that by-time I spec them out in an basic AWD configuration, you might as well save a few grand and go get an SR5 flavor 4-runner (especially since you’re getting so much more capability).

No Patriotic Canadian owns a Passport. That's how you meet Americans!

In Canada, a base Passport is more expensive than a base Pilot.

At the highest trim level, the Passport is something like $5,000 cheaper than the Pilot. That's not nothing. The Passport looks better and for people who will never need a third row, why spend an extra 5 grand for a little extra space that I don't need?

Yeah this is a dumb one from H onda. There isn’t really any true offroad capability.
It’s a grown up element. Atleast the original had a a 4x4 system with possible dana 44.
Also the base pilot is more expensive here in ohio
